There are many Web-page creation programs allow you to create pages easily. FrontPage97 is a quick, effective way to create and manage professional-quality Internet sites without programming. It makes it easy for new users and professional Web developers alike to build and maintain great-looking, professional-quality Web sites in no time. FrontPage97 consists of three basic tools used in building and administering a Web site: the Explorer, Editor, and To Do List.

System Requirement

A personal computer with a 80486 or higher processor

Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows NT Workstation 3.51 or later

8MB (16MB recommended) RAM for Windows 95, 16MB (32MB recommended) for Windows NT

15MB (compact), 30MB (typical) and 300MB (complete) available disk space

CD-ROM drive

256-color VGA (SVGA TrueColor with 2MB of Video RAM recommended)

Microsoft Mouse, Microsoft IntelliMouse, or compatible pointing device

Options

Windows-compatible tablet with mouse emulation for basic mouse support, or WinTab Compatible tablet for full-pressure support

Any scanner or digital camera that provides 32-bit TWAIN version 1.601 compliant drivers

Compabilities

FrontPage97 ships with a 32-bit Personal Web Server, which supports CGI and HTTP, as well as several server extensions for Windows NT and Unix Web servers. However Microsoft does not offer support for Mac servers yet.

Installing

Inserted the FrontPage97 CD-ROM

Clicked on 'FrontPage97 installation' button to start the installation

Read and accepted the license agreement

Inserted the 'Windows95 CD-ROM' when prompted to do so

Restarted the system and continue the installation

Followed the on screen instructions till finish.

Note:

* 'Custom/Complete Setup' was chosen as the setup method
* All default setting accepted
* Setup programs automatically installed the 'Microsoft FrontPage Personal Web Server'.
* Setup programs detected the IP address for the machine.
